About This Photo:
I took this series of photos on a cold Saturday in January at Blue Springs State Park in Orange City, FL. For most of the winter, when the water in the rivers of central and north central Florida is cold, these amazing mammals migrate to the springs where the water coming out the aquifer is a constant 72 degrees year round.
Of the 416 Manatees officially counted at Blue Springs that day, this one seemed to be fascinated by a log that was underwater near the head spring.
